The working vocabulary of AX-first products, defined the way we use it — plainly, and without the retail buzzwords.

AX (Agent Experience)

How well an AI agent, acting on someone's behalf, can use a product — as distinct from UX, which measures how well a person can use it directly.

Agent

Software that takes actions on a person's behalf — browsing, filling forms, calling APIs — rather than just answering questions.

Agent economy

The market that emerges as AI agents act on people's behalf at scale. Durable value tends to sit with products built to be legible and usable by those agents, not only by the people who deployed them.

Structured data

Information exposed in a predictable, machine-readable form (fields, tables, APIs) rather than locked inside a screenshot or rendered image.

Machine-readable

The property of exposing enough structure — fields, identifiers, predictable markup — that software can understand a page or product without a person explaining it first.

Dark pattern

An interface designed to slow down or mislead a user into an action they didn't intend. These tend to break agent automation outright, rather than just annoying a person.

Venture studio

A company that builds and operates its own products in-house, rather than only investing in companies founded by others.

Portfolio company

A product or business built and backed by 30E Ventures — currently DepositX and AnalystOS.

Citation-backed report

AnalystOS's core mechanism: every figure in a generated report is either a verbatim quote checked against the source document or a calculation the software recomputes itself.

Evidence store

Where AnalystOS keeps the source document and the facts extracted from it, so every figure in a report can be traced back to exactly where it came from.

Quality gate

An automated check a draft report must pass before it reaches a reader. AnalystOS runs two independent gates on every report — one for correctness, one for prose quality.

Deposit rail

The underlying path money takes to move into an account — what DepositX is built around.

Ledger

The authoritative record of who holds what. The system of record any deposit or transfer ultimately has to agree with.

ACH transfer

A batched, delayed bank-to-bank transfer routed through the Automated Clearing House network — the standard low-cost way money moves between US bank accounts.
